Life throws curveballs, and sometimes, those curveballs knock us down. Loss, grief, and overwhelming challenges can leave us feeling lost, hopeless and feeling so very much alone.
Yet, we are never ever alone.
There is a beacon of hope in these dark times. Someone, someone unseen, is there to provide comfort wherever, whenever and however we are. This fact is a powerful balm for the soul.
When we are made aware that we have guardian angels around us, we know we are not utterly abandoned–even in times of bleakest despair. Our guardian angels give us the strength to keep going, helping us push through the pain and granting us hope for brighter days tomorrow.
Unseen Guides and Helpers: What the Bible Says

The Bible offers glimpses into the nature of these unseen angels. They are powerful spiritual beings who serve as God’s messengers and agents. Passages like Psalm 91:11—
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;
–and Hebrews 1:14—
Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? –highlight their role as protectors and ministers.
Two specific verses are also often cited in connection with guardian angels. In Matthew 18:10, it is stated–
See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.
This suggests a close connection between angels and believers, with some interpreting it as evidence of personal guardian angels.
Similarly, Acts 12:15 tells the story of Peter’s miraculous escape from prison. When the servant girl Rhoda claims to hear Peter’s voice, the others reply that it is his angel who is doing so.
We Are Never Ever Alone
However, it’s important to note that these verses leave a bit of wiggle room for interpretation. “Their angels” in Matthew could refer to angels assigned to a group of believers rather than individuals. Acts 12:15 might indicate an angelic messenger sent by God in that specific instance.
The concept of guardian angels isn’t limited to just individuals. Angels are commanded by God Himself to watch over specific communities, churches, and even nations. That is why you must never feel that you yourself are alone.
We Are Never Ever Alone: Inner Strength

Guardian angels are often depicted not just as protectors but also as guides. The guidance of angels can empower us to make difficult decisions and navigate life’s complexities.
Imagine facing a moral dilemma at work or at home. The firm and quiet presence of a guardian angel inspires a sense of inner strength, a feeling of being nudged towards the right path. This doesn’t mean blind faith in the angel. It’s about harnessing the belief to tap into our own intuition and make choices that align with our values.
While guardian angels offer external support, true power lies in finding power from within and above. Our belief in our guardian angels creates a sense of trust: trust in the universe, in a higher power, and, most importantly, trust in ourselves.
First and foremost, our guardian angels encourage us to believe that even when things seem bleak, forces work in our favor–both unseen and within. This fosters resilience, the ability to bounce back from setbacks and keep moving forward.
We Are Never Ever Alone: A Universal Comfort
Guardian angels transcend specific religious doctrines. Whether one envisions a celestial being, a spirit guide, or a benevolent force, our unseen guides and helpers are always there to comfort those who need their guiding light the most.
This universality highlights the all-encompassing love that God has for each and every one of us. It speaks to His desire to make us feel safe, loved, and not entirely alone in the vastness of existence.
Strength in an Uncertain World
In a world that can often feel chaotic and overwhelming, guardian angels offer a powerful and soothing presence that helps us feel safe and firm. They foster within us a sense of security, hope, and inner strength. They remind us fully that we are not alone on our journey and that even in the darkest times, a light is always guiding the way.
